TRIFERMENT FORTE 325 MG 10 GASTRO-RESISTANT CAPSULES BIOFARM

The active substance is pancreatin. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 325 mg pancreatin, with a minimal activity: lipolytic 10000 U, amylolytic 8125 U, proteolytic 536 U. The other components are: lactose monohydrate, polyvidone K30, crospovidone, sodium starch glycolate, talc, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose 101, hypromellose 15cP, titanium dioxide, macrogol 4000, citric acid monohydrate, methacrylic acid copolymer type C, triethylcitrate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, Ponceau 4R, yellow twilight FCF.

Therapeutic indications

Triferment Forte contains a mixture of enzymes called "pancreatin". Pancreatin helps you digest food.

Triferment Forte is used in children and adults with "exocrine pancreatic insufficiency". This occurs when the pancreas does not secrete enough enzymes to digest food. It is often found in people who present:

Cystic fibrosis, a rare genetic disease;
Blockage of the ducts of the pancreas or the gallbladder (pancreatic ducts or common bile duct);
Chronic inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis);
Pancreatic cancer;
Have undergone an operation to remove a portion of the pancreas or the entire pancreas (partial or total pancreatectomy);
Have undergone an operation to remove a portion of the stomach or the entire stomach (partial or total gastrectomy);
After gastrointestinal bypass surgery.
The enzymes in Triferment Forte act by digesting the food that passes through the intestine. You must use Triferment Forte during meals or snacks or immediately after them. This will allow the enzymes to mix well with the food.

Doses and method of administration

The dose is established according to individual needs and the severity of dyspeptic disorders from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.

The gastro-resistant tablets are swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of liquid during the meal or immediately after it.

Grown ups

The recommended dose is 1-2 gastro-resistant Triferment Forte tablets at each meal.

The maximum dose of lipase units is 15000-20000/kgc/day

BOYS

Triferment Forte is administered, upon doctor's prescription, to children over 6 years old due to its pharmaceutical form.

Precautions

If digestive symptoms persist or worsen under treatment, it is necessary to see a doctor.
If you use large doses of pancreatic enzymes, lesions may appear in the mouth and anus, as well as intestinal strictures. In patients with cystic fibrosis who use large doses of products containing pancreatin, a rare disease called "fibrosing colonopathy", a condition in which the intestine is narrowed, has been reported. If you have cystic fibrosis and take more than 10,000 units of lipase/kg body/day and have unusual abdominal pain or changes in abdominal symptoms, tell your doctor.
If you have gout and urinary stones, caution is recommended.
