Drontal Cat x 2 Tablets - Broad-Spectrum Dewormer for Cats

Drontal Cat is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic tablet designed for the treatment and control of intestinal parasites in cats. It is highly effective against both roundworms and tapeworms, providing comprehensive protection for feline pets.

Composition (per tablet):

• Praziquantel: 20 mg
• Pyrantel embonate: 230 mg

Mode of action:

• Praziquantel: Increases the permeability of the parasite’s cell membranes to calcium ions, leading to muscle contractions, paralysis, and death of tapeworms.
• Pyrantel embonate: Acts as a nicotinic cholinergic antagonist, paralyzing the roundworms by interfering with their nerve and muscle function, leading to their expulsion from the body.

Indications:
Drontal Cat is effective against parasitic infections caused by:

• Tapeworms:
  • Dipylidium caninum
  • Taenia taeniaeformis
  • Echinococcus multilocularis
• Roundworms:
  • Toxocara cati
  • Toxascaris leonina

Dosage:

• Cats: 1 tablet per 4 kg body weight
  (Adjust dosage for smaller or larger cats as needed)

Administration:

• Administer orally in a single dose.
• The tablet can be given directly or mixed with food.

Precautions:

• Start deworming kittens from 6 weeks of age, and continue every 3 months or as recommended by a veterinarian.
• Consult a veterinarian before use in pregnant cats.
• Not intended for use in animals intended for human consumption.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
